SAY-Social Activism & You is a voluntary social organization of a group of people who wish to work for social harmony through massive participatory movement in the socio, economic, cultural, gender, environmental, educational and health situations of the society.
SAY-Social Activism & You is organising a District level Elocution and Essay Writing completion for college students of Kozhikode on 22 December 2010 at Hotel New Nalanda. At the same time we are conducting competitions for Versification, Collage, and Mime also. We are creating a platform for the highly motivated and socially committed students to bring their thoughts, ideas, and suggestions regarding the present social situation we live in to a common stage.
We hope that the participants would take it as a chance to show case their calibre and social commitment and also to help them to create a more targeted and oriented view towards the problems existing in the present society. We assure you that we will bring their brightest thoughts and suggestions of each student community to a wider and creative group through our blogs and network.
The topic for all competition items would be “what do you think is the most important social issue of the year 2010 which we should discuss now and why?”
We request you to ensure your participation through email or phone before 5 PM 20 December 2010. The registration process will complete only when you join us in person along with you college identity card at 9 AM on the day of the event. We hope your participation can light a way for a brighter future.

Instructions
v Students who are attending regular classes in the colleges only will be allowed to participate in the competitions.
v You are requested to ensure your registration through email or telephone before 5PM 20 December 2010. The process of registration will complete only when you report in person at the venue on the day of the event at 9 AM.
v Participants should bring their college identity card and a copy of the same when they appear for the registration. Students who fail to bring their identity cards will not be eligible to participate in the competitions.
v Participants should avoid any kind of personal, political, religious, gender harassing or abuse.
v SAY-Social Activism & You will not be responsible for, if, any such remarks are made by the participants in the event.
v No plastic should be used in making collage and its maximum size should be 4 × A1.
v Participants should bring the materials for collage.
v For versification poems should not exceed 100 lines.
v Maximum duration for elocution will be 10 minutes.
v Essays must not exceed 1000 words in Malayalam.
v Medium of language for all the competitions will be Malayalam.
v The maximum number of members in a Mime team should be 10.
v The programme committee posses the authority to make any change in the programmes
